                                                            Have you EVER:

Lost a day holiday to wait for a package?

Waited all day for a delivery that never arrived?

Had to travel to a Post Office or a Courier’s depot to collect missed delivery?

Forty-two per cent of home shoppers have had to collect missed deliveries from a Post Office or other depot in the past year and 25 per cent have done this more than once. Fifty-four per cent have waited in for a home delivery and 28 per cent have done this at least three times. Thirty-one per cent have waited in for a delivery that failed to arrive.

Choices given to distant shoppers apart of the normal delivery option, which is unpractical for the employed person or couple that cannot wait at home for it are:

1)      Collection points:

Which defeat the purpose of internet shopping, the customer might as well have it delivered normally; when he/she finds the “sorry we missed you” card left by the driver, goes to the depot and collects it themselves.

2)      Unattended Delivery boxes:

These cost £99.00 to set up and £24.99 or 29.99 a month, £398.88 or£458.88 for the first year,

£299.88 or £359.88 thereafter plus the delivery charges
